New NCJF Film Restorations

The National Center for Jewish Film

The National Center for Jewish Film is an independent nonprofit film archive, distributor, and exhibitor. Since 1976, NCJF has rescued and restored films that document the diversity and vibrancy of Jewish life. The Center's archive collection of films with Jewish content is one of the world's largest and includes silent and Yiddish films, travelogues, newsreels, antisemitic Nazi propaganda films, and home movies. These rare and endangered films screen worldwide and appear in documentaries, artworks, and museum exhibitions.

A world leader in the collection and exhibition of Jewish film and culture, NCJF curates public programs worldwide, having contributed to the development of Jewish and ethnic film as subjects for academic study and public exhibition. The Center also supports filmmakers by distributing contemporary works and having new films produced under its aegis.
